SLCC Day Camp Program Coordinator (1 position)
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and execute stimulating, creative and age-appropriate outdoor activities in an inclusive safe environment;
- Supervise four experienced instructors and two leaders in training;
- Help teach paddling skills and techniques in a fun, creative systematic manner;
- Serve as a positive youth role model/mentor to promote mental and physical health
- Help supervise the participants at all times while in water and on land;
- Follow the club’s policies regarding safe sport, fair play, inclusivity, diversity and equity;
- Maintain registration records and communicate with parents;
- Enforce health and safety regulations.
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum Current Bronze Cross swimming skills with First Aid & CPR Level C;
- Provide a clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check and complete online Safe Sport course;
- Recreational kayaking and canoe experience;
- Day camp or residential camp experience;
- Be between the age of 18-30;
- Must have good judgement and enjoy youth, sports and the outdoors
May 5, 2025 - Aug 22, 2025 37.5 hours per week(8:30-4:30 Mon-Fri only)
Salary depends on certification and experience
Must be between the age of 18-30 and eligible to work in Canada
